Abstract In view of spatiotemporal big data to compile comprehensive urban atlas that highlights urban personality and regional characteristics, this paper starts with the characteristics of big spatiotemporal data, analyzes the mapping logic architecture and mapping expression form of urban comprehensive atlas, and then takes Atlas of Shanghai as an example to carry out the practice and analysis of map compilation with big data, in order to provide some reference for urban atlas design. © 2022 IEEE.
